What is a bus plug?
A bus plug is a component of busway that is essentially responsible for delivering the power to the appropriate equipment and circuits. Each section of busway is responsible for certain loads, and the bus plug is the connection between the two. If you’re looking for circuit breaker type bus plugs, please make sure to note down the AIC rating of the system.
Protecting your bus plugs.
It’s important to remember that bus plugs still need circuit protection, which can be provided by either a fuse or a circuit breaker depending on the application. However, fuses and circuit breakers are not included with bus plugs and need to be purchased separately. Fusible bus plugs are compatible with many different classes of fuses including Class H, Class R, Class K, Class J, and Class T.

Fusible Bus Plugs
Fusible bus plugs are used in electrical systems that rely on fuses for protection. They are available in 2 voltage ratings, 250V and 600V. They are recommended for horizontal bus duct, which is more commonly found in industrial and commercial applications for heavy equipment and HVAC systems.
